Tattoon

Yesterday when I was picking up Bobby from school 2 girls from his class came to talk to me. The first one showed me a tattoo on her arm. It was a purple and brown donut. The other one had a pink cake. Bobby came and showed me his arm. "It's a strawberry cake", he said. "It's a tattoon", he educated me. I asked him where he got his tattoon from. He said miss Sabeen have tattoons to every body since it's her birthday today!

I asked where is my tattoon. But he said they ran out of them, and that was that!

Sorry I Bite

Last week i was working when I got a phone from Bobby school. A call from the school in the middle of the day is never good. It was his teacher, she said an incident report has been filed because Bobby had a fight with his friend and he bit his friend. He's never had an incident like this before so I was most surprised. The teacher assured me she witnessed it all, and there was no mistaking it! I assured her we will talk to him. 

Later that afternoon when i picked up Bobby from school, he fessed up immediately. "I had a fight with Isaac. He was pushing me. So i bit him. But i said sorry". I said "You know what will be better than sorry? Not biting him at all!". To which Bobby says, "I know, I know! I will not bite him tomorrow. ". Then, art a pause, he continued, "Yesterday when I was a baby, i bit Dulce. But i dont bite him anymore". My jaw dropped! "What?! You bit Dulce???". "I know i know. But i dont anymore. And I said sorry to him." I'm still shell shocked! While i am putting Bobby in the car seat, in the car, Dulce is trying to lock his cheek to say hello!. With my thumb and index finger i show Bobby how long Dulce's teeth are. I said, "This is how big Dulce's tooth is. So do not bite him, if he bites you, it will not end well.". Bobby repeated he did say sorry, and that was a long time ago when he was baby! I'm still shaking my head. Meanwhile Dulce is still trying to lick the baby cheeks!

Next week is the last week of school before summer starts. The middle school is hosting an award ceremony the day before school lets out. I'm intend to attend it and looking forward to it. But yesterday the school sent out a formation invitation for the award ceremony. And right in front of the invitation card is an illustration of the school mascot. And guess who's art work is it?

Yes, it says on the invite.. at the bottom and in bold.. "Illustration by DWP student ...."

So full of pride how do i stop grinning :-) 

Mother's Day 2024

Is it just me or are mother's day getting better all the time?

Little miss Haana had been working for several days on something for mother's day, but I didn't know what. This morning, as I got ready (as instructed) to head out for brunch, I was presented the most wonderful card. Supposedly gotten from hallmark. Incidentally I know hallmark cannot have a talented and creative artists as someone I know. 

The card is an antique map of the Land of Muma. Marked by the 15 second break island and we love you island on the north, land of mumma has many land marks. Up north is the town of reason, skirted by the deserts of no sleep. South of that, the crisis kingdom is protected by the cheerleader bay. The high road connects these land marks on the west, and continues towards the east along the mountain range of laundry. Southern side of this mountain range are the evergreens of the free therapy forest. The high road connects them to the dirty dishes swamp of the south western edge. On the southern edge of the island, the mind reading volcano gives way to calmer of the seas. It's a beautiful island!

As if this antique map was not enough, I also received an Ode to Mumma. Along with 2 beautiful necklaces. 

Meanwhile Bobby boy had also been working on a very special mother's day card for me at school. 

A  purple flower and an art work. "I was trying to draw a heart but i dont know how", said Mr sweet baby Bobby! I melted when he said that. 

Next to the heart is a golden coloured sun.
