Lullaby

Remember all the sleepless nights with a few months' old baby at home? It's all going to work out I reckon.

Yesterday after lunch I was relishing at prospect of taking a nap in the afternoon. And Miss Haana took it upon herself to make sure it's done right.

She sang to me a lullaby and kept ordering me to "Close your eyes" while she sang twinkle twinkle little star to me :-)

I could get used to this!

One.Two....Ten

My little baby is barely 18 months old. And other than singing the "I love you" barney song and "tinkle tinkle ittle saar", there are more skills in her arsenal. (Alert: Parental boasting coming up).

When I say "One", her reply is-
Too
Thheee
Four
Sees
Even
Aiii (eight)
Nine

Between nine and ten, she usually picks one and includes only one.

Now before I get those "such pushy parents" kind of looks, in my defense- I've never tried to have her parrot the counting to me. We do count 1 to 10 especially up and down the stairs- but this is all her.

And that doesn't mean I am not super proud of her!
